Mumbai University CGPA to Percentage Calculator
Convert your University of Mumbai CGPA to percentage using the official formula.
University of Mumbai is the country's largest affiliating university by enrolment, covering several hundred colleges across the Konkan division of Maharashtra. As of 1 January 2026, Mumbai officially repealed the formula-based CGPA-to-percentage conversion (Circular Exam/Result/803 of 2026): general-stream programmes had used (CGPA × 7.1) + 11 until that point, engineering had used (CGPA × 7.4) + 12 above CGPA 7. So the old multiplying factor for Mumbai University was 7.1 (plus 11) for general degrees and 7.4 (plus 12) for engineering — there was never a plain × 10. The replacement is an opt-in conversion certificate computed from raw semester marks. Use the calculator below to back-calculate the implied percentage for pre-2026 transcripts; current batches should request the new conversion certificate from their college.
University of Mumbai repealed all formula-based CGPA-to-percentage conversion via Circular No. Exam/Result/803 of 2026 (dated 01.01.2026). The formula below is shown for historical reference only — it applied to transcripts issued before 2026-01-01.
What's the new method? Conversion is now done by the college using actual marks (total marks obtained ÷ total maximum marks across all semesters × 100). The University issues a conversion certificate on student request. Read the official circular →
