VTU Percentage to CGPA Formula

Visvesvaraya Technological University uses the formula Percentage = CGPA × 10 to convert CGPA to percentage. The reverse formula is:

CGPA = Percentage ÷ 10

Example: If your percentage is 78%: CGPA = 78 ÷ 10 = 7.80

How to convert percentage to VTU CGPA?

Visvesvaraya Technological University uses a different formula depending on your scheme, so the reverse differs too. 2021 / 2022 scheme — admitted 2021-22 or later: CGPA = Percentage ÷ 10 — 78% is a CGPA of 7.80. 2015 / 2017 / 2018 scheme — admitted before 2021-22: CGPA = (Percentage + 7.5) ÷ 10 — 78% is a CGPA of 8.55. What is a good CGPA at VTU?
